Recently, Samsung announced a new version of its Galaxy S20 series under the name Galaxy S20 FE or Fan Edition. Following numerous leaks and rumors, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy S20 FE in October. The device was a huge hit and quickly became the company’s best-selling smartphone in 2020. As a result, a successor to the Galaxy S20 FE will most likely be launched.

According to rumors, Samsung has been working on the Galaxy S21 FE since February, which is a bit surprising since the Galaxy S21 series officially launched in January 2021. It seems that Samsung won’t take too long to release a new Fan Edition, evolving from the Galaxy S21 5G series. Recently, leaker Steve H (known as OnLeaks) has revealed that the design of the new Fan Edition will be similar to the Galaxy S21 but comes with a new camera cluster. More specifically, the rectangular camera module will have the same color as the back, instead of a different color to create accents.

The source also says that the phone will measure 155.7 x 74.5 x 7.9 mm, however, the overall thickness increases to 9.3 mm when taking into account the thickness of the camera module. The phone will have a metal frame, though the back will be made of plastic and Samsung has covered it with a matte finish. Regarding the launch time, the report on April 13 said that the Galaxy S21 FE will launch earlier than usual, around August 2021 to fill the gap left by the Galaxy Note 21 series. If you remember, in the past, Samsung has confirmed that it will not launch the next generation Galaxy Note series because of a shortage of chip supply.
